George is a real gentleman! He loves attention and to be talked to and petted, and, in return, he gives you wet kitty kisses on your nose and cheek! George was rescued in July xxxx with his friend Ginger -- both were found dumped at a local lake, living in the woods having to fend for themselves and fight off raccoons for food. Even though George has a sketchy past, he has moved on and is ready to share his heart and a home with someone who will love him forever and never throw him out like yesterday's trash. George is happy to just lay around and soak up his surroundings -- and any patches of sun that might be on the floor! He also loves to play and really gets going when he has some catnip :) His orange fur is really soft and his markings are beautiful. He has the cutest tiny orange eyes, and he loves to sit with his eyes closed in what appears to be quiet, contemplative thought. You might wonder why his left ear looks different ... well, before George came to live with us, another rescue group footed the vet bill and they went ahead and had the vet tip his ear because he was supposed to go live on a farm -- that way, people could look at his ear and they would be able to easily tell he was already neutered. Well, things didn't work out, and George never went to the farm. So, now he has a left ear that is half of what it should be ... but don't worry, it doesn't hurt him at all, and he doesn't even seem to miss it. In fact, George thinks it makes him even more unique and helps him stand out in a crowd :) Afterall, you gotta look different from the rest of the kitties if you want to get adopted! The good news is that George has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and he is already neutered and up to date on his rabies and distemper vaccinations! George is litter-box trained and has had no accidents. He will receive worming medication before being adopted. Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet soul! George's adoption fee is $50.00. If you adopt both George and Ginger together (they are best friends and were rescued together!), the adoption fee will be $80.00 total.
