xxxx Dodge Dakota Sport, V6 auto w/ Overdrive, 2WD, as of 9/19/14 showing 156,362 on the odometer. Exterior obviously rough & rusty but not falling to pieces..minor impact damage to passenger door, functionality not affected. Interior is clean, decent bench seat with some cloth damage on the driver's side, nice washable terrycloth butt cover supplied to buyer at no additional charge. Headliner came down and was given the staple gun repair. No broken glass, features sliding open rear window for a nice breeze. Built in cup holder! Vinyl bed liner, good spare tire. Rear tires are good, front tires are brand new with less than 1,500 miles. Trailer hitch ball mounted on rear bumper. Good working brakes.
The great thing about this truck is dependability....she always fires right up on first turn of the key and you're rolling. I drove this truck from Daytona Beach to Ohio when I acquired it, 70 - 75 mph the whole way, runs very strong. Smooth ride (for a 22 year old truck)....handles nicely, absolutely no shimmy-shakin', no pull to either side. All exterior lights & turn signals work, horn works. All gauges and dash lights working. Intermittent wipers with new wiper blades, I also replaced all of the bushings on the wiper arm linkages. Heater works (no A/C) but is stuck on Defrost. Radio present but non-functioning. Also included is the standard and semi-helpful Haynes DIY repair manual, which honestly has come in handy on a few projects.
When I acquired the vehicle, I immediately installed a new battery and starter, (now two years old) as the old ones were a bit weak. I also replaced both of the tailgate hanger cables. The Dakota Sport came standard with some really small, pathetic outside mirrors, and as one was broken anyway I was able to score some nice large replacements from the boneyard....huge improvement. Earlier this Spring I installed all new Monroe shocks, with Max-Air adjustable shocks on the rear, less than 500 miles on those. Fresh oil & filter, ready to go as a daily driver or occasional rough duty workhorse. You won't score any points with the ladies (or gents) crusin' in this one....but think of the money you'll save at the Car Wash. One good 'ol truck for sure, hate to sell it but four vehicles is two too many. Someone will get a good deal on this truck.... I like to negotiate.....but strictly in person. Gotta start the dance somewhere....considering all of the above and what research I've done on similar trucks....asking $1,475.00.
